The brand Dunlop is iconic within the tennis industry. Since 1923 when they produced their first tennis ball they have been part of many famous tennis events. From the famous Maxply wooden racquets first produced in 1932 , the racquet of Rod Laver throughout his career including a Grand Slam in 1969 and then onwards as carbon fibre became the material of choice and players such as Amelia Mauresmo winning her Wimbledon title in 2006.
Since 2017 the Dunlop brand has been produced and marketed by Sumitomo Rubber Industries a global company based in Japan who also produce amongst many products and brands Srixon Golf equipment. With the backing of a global juggernaut we have seen a massive boost in Research and Development within the brand and their 2022 ranges culminating in the latest release SX range are amongst our most popular racquets within the business.
