For intermediate to advanced players looking to dominate with controllable power and comfort.

Yonex introduces some exciting updates to their EZONE racquet line for 2022. This new 7th generation EZONE racquet series has updated the 2020 version. Like previous generations of the Yonex EZONE 98 7th Gen; the racquet remains an easy-swinging player’s frame that offers excellent feel, spin, and stability. The Yonex EZONE 98 7th Gen Tennis Racquet comes with a striking new blue colorway update.

Yonex implements 2G-NAMD Speed graphite into the frame provides enhanced ball speed without sacrificing comfort. Yonex updated the shaft design for improved stability and power. The thicker shaft structure with a convex design reduces unwanted racquet torque on off-centered shots for added power. The Yonex EZONE 98 7th Gen Tennis Racquet includes Vibration Dampening Mesh within the handle of the frame which helps reduce shock.

Overall, the EZONE 98 7th Gen places power firmly into the players’ hands, allowing for additional ball speed. This frame is an impressive option for the intermediate to advanced player with a faster swing, looking for excellent feel, spin, stability, and precision.

Developed over 30 years ago, the ISOMETRIC™ design increases the sweet spot by 7%*.  Compared to a conventional round frame, a square-shaped ISOMETRIC™ racquet generates a larger sweet spot by optimizing the intersection of the main and cross strings.  ISOMETRIC™ technology delivers greater control without sacrificing power.

O.P.S (Oval Pressed Shaft):

First introduced in 1969 with the T-7000 – our first aluminum tennis racquet – the Oval Pressed Shaft (OPS) is still incorporated into our most popular racquet series today.  The Oval Pressed Shaft is designed to give players more spin, control, and feel. The shaft flexes at impact, increasing dwell time and minimizing vibrations.

Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM):

First used in Yonex snowboards to reduce vibrations at impact, Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM) is now used in four of our racquet series. VDM is a stretchy mesh material that is wrapped around the graphite within the grip to filter unwanted vibrations and improve touch and precision.

Liner Tech:

Liner Tech Grommet & String System features straighter grommet holes for less string on racquet friction. It also includes optimal string spacing for greater control in the hitting zone and more forgiveness on off-center hits.

2G-Namd Speed:

A high modulus graphite fibers are bound with a carbon nanotube (CNT) structure, reducing energy loss, which enables to transfer the energy into quick snapback.

Aero Shape Design:

An inverted frame design with a thinner frame face results in a softer racquet.

Shaft Design:

A thicker shaft structure with a convex design reduces unwanted racquet torque on off-centered shots for added power.
