 Re-stringing
A lot has been written on the art of restringing, some have talked of it as a mystic lost art, done well by very few. In fact that is untrue, the basic act of restringing is quite simple and straight forward. The special “art” is the accumulated knowledge and professionalism built up over years that enables a racquet technician to arrive at a tension and string type after a quick series of questions. It may often be the unsaid just as much as the spoken word that enables the technician to get it “just right”. Some of the myriad of little influences that make for that special blend may include – type of racquet and it’s stiffness, string pattern, headsize, type of player using it, is he or she a serve volleyer or baseliner, attacking or defensive, are there injury problems to accommodate? Any sponsorship considerations? Any technique concerns? How often do they play on what type of courts and of course what costs are affordable? After all that the technician chooses one type from thousands available, and of course intimate knowledge of brands, models and string construction are required. This is where the true technician works for his money and makes his or herself differ from the average. At STRINGLAB we pride ourselves on taking the right amount of time and effort to get that special restring first time. After all it is you the player that is the final testemant to our skills. If you haven’t tried a STRINGLAB restring before please do, it may make your tennis experience just that little bit more enjoyable.
